To Know Christ and To Make Him Known

Ministries

Serve Jesus and others

One of our purposes at Westside Church is to help people grow in serving Jesus and others. We believe a follower of Jesus will serves Him faithfully and others joyfully. Therefore, we want to provide opportunities for people to be involved in some kind of ministry. Below you will find some of the ministries that are available at Westside. We hope you will consider getting involved in one or more of these ministries.

HOMEBUILDERS— A life group for parents of small children. This life group is designed for single parents as well as married parents. They meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 for Bible study, prayer, and support. This class covers topics from a Biblical perspective that help strengthen families. There are also opportunities for fellowship with activities such as ladies night out and super bowl parties.

MEN’S MINISTRY—Westside men meet each Sunday at 9:45 am to study God’s Word, to fellowship, and to pray. An important part of this meeting is the support the men give one another. The men also do various projects around the church during periodic workdays. Westside men seek to reach out to our community with the love of Christ through various evangelistic projects.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY—Sunday Bible Study is available each week for children of all ages. AWANA clubs highlight our Wednesday evening program for children 4-years old through 5th grade. Other popular events include a fall festival and summer VBS.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY—The women of Westside ministry coordinates many ladies’ functions throughout the year, like a mother-daughter luncheon, seminars and conferences of interest to women, and other periodic events. The Westside women also meet each Sunday at 9:45 am to study God’s Word, to fellowship, and to pray.

MISSION MINISTRY—Westside supports, prays for, and communicates with many missionaries around the globe. Each year, Westside hosts a Missions Celebration, which informs our congregation of what God is doing in other parts of the world.

SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY—Our “senior servants” have a wide range of activities from which to choose, including periodic dinners, field trips, service projects, and weekly meetings.

MORAL CONCERN MINISTRY—Members are updated regularly on current issues related to family, community, state, and national moral concerns. A bulletin board and designated care group provide detailed information on how to stay involved.

CARE GROUP MINISTRY-We realize that a key aspect of the Christian life is joining with others in a loving and supportive group. We have care groups that meet on a regular basis to provide a opportunities for building meaningful relationships. These groups spend time in fellowship and prayer.
