Dr. A.T. Stewart has been in the ministry for
over 30 years. He graduated from Belhaven College in
Jackson, MS in 1973 with a B.A. in Bible. He continued his
education at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in
Louisville, KY where he earned his Master of Divinity degree
in 1975 and his doctorate in Expository Preaching in 2006. His theological beliefs have been shaped by his
convictions of the inerrancy of Scripture and the
truthfulness of the Doctrines of Grace.
Since his graduation from seminary, Dr. Stewart has served churches in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.
He has been pastor of Westside for 14 years.
Pastor A.T. is deeply committed to the
family. He has been married 34 years to Teri and they have
six children. A major part of his ministry is devoted to
helping build strong families on the Word of God. He has led
Family Enrichment Conferences in Europe, the Caribbean, and
in the southeastern United States.
Pastor A.T. is also deeply committed to
Biblical preaching. He is a gifted preacher and teacher of
God's Word. God has gifted him with the ability to make the
Word of God clear and relevant to the average person. He
seeks to explain God's Word in a way that the voice of God
is heard, the glory of God is seen, and the will of God is
obeyed.
Not only is Dr. Stewart committed to the
preaching of the Bible, but he is also committed to
shepherding the flock of God at Westside. His heart is
to see people grow into Christian maturity. He ministers to
individuals showing them what God desires from them as His
children. He calls on believers to submit themselves to the
authority of the Word of God. He believes as Christians obey
the Word of God they will become emotionally and spiritually
strengthened. |
